All That Scraps Wednesday Colour Challenge

Hey, I'm back with another challenge entry. I figured I was on a roll so why quit now? Ha ha! Anyways I have created a card for the current All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge. This week it is a colour challenge. The colours you are to use are pink, red and chocolate. To participate in the challenge you must use those colours and include a stamp that is sold in the All That Scraps store. Then link up to original challenge post.

Here is what I created:

I got my main idea from the card I made for the Some Odd Girl Challenge. I liked the image off to the side and on the doily. I also liked the paper pieces with the fish tail banner ends. My main image is C.C. Designs Swiss Pixie Ice Cream Birgitta. I coloured her in the challenge colours. I popped her up on dimensional foam to make her stand out on the busy background. I also incorporated the theme colours into my background papers, which is a great way to use up some of your scraps. I added some sewing around the edges, just because (again) I liked the way it looks. The tag under her with the sentiment is from one of the paper pads that I got for Christmas, which is from Pebbles. It is hard to see (sorry again for the poor image quality) but it says "enjoy the little things." I thought it was cute and fit into the theme as it was pink.

So I hope you enjoy, or take something to give you a spark to get creating. The ATS Wednesday Challenge is open until January 15, so there is still time to enter. :)

The Greeting Farm- Farm Fresh Friday Challenge

I am back again! I am on a bit of a roll with my challenge participation here, ha ha. Anyways I have created an entry for The Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Friday Challenge. This week they challenged participants to use something new. This is what I came up with:

I used one of my "Miss Anya Dressy" stamps. I have not stamped out these stamps, even though I have had them for awhile, so they are basically new. The background music note paper is new, I got it for Christmas from my sister (it is American Crafts). The stickers are from the Neapolitan Collection, and using stickers on a card is a "new" thing for me. I don't really use them much as I am more of a card maker than scrapbooker.

Anyways, you have until January 10 at Noon CST to enter. I love The Greeting Farm, I am hoping to get my hands on some new stamps from them soon!

Happy Crafting! :)

Some Odd Girl January Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone! I am back with another card/challenge entry. I am in LOVE with the stamps from Some Odd Girl, even though I only own set so far (lol)! I am hoping to add some more to my collection in the very near future! Not only are they really cute, but they stamps nicely and are fun to colour. Here is a link to the January challenge so you can see what the sketch looks like (http://www.someoddgirlblog.com/2013/01/january-challenge/).

Below are some photos of the card I made for this challenge (I apologize for the poor photo quality, I am using my Iphone to take pictures until my hunny and I are able to buy a camera):

The stamp set is actually one of the Christmas ones, "HollyDay Gwen". I got it for a great deal on Black Friday. I coloured her with Copic Markers in pinks and greens to match the papers. Her hair is my favorite brown Copic combination, E37, E29 and E49. The sentiment is from the same set. I stamped it in red Brilliance ink. I think it looks more like a Valentines card, which makes me happy because that means that the stamp set is versatile, even though it technically a Christmas set.

The Sketch Challenge is open until January 29th at midnight EST. All you have to do is create a card inspired by the sketch. You must use Some Odd Girl stamps, including sentiments and accessories. Now I am off to go browse, I have my eye on the "Dancin Mae" stamp, as well as some of the new releases.

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Entry for Totally Mad Tea Party

Hello again! I am back with a project share/challenge entry. I want to be more active in challenges this year, so I am starting with this one from Simon Says Stamp and Show blog. It is an "anything goes" challenge and the theme is Totally Mad (no rules) Tea Party. This is challenge is inspired by your take on this theme, so it seemed like fun.

I decided to go in the direction of being "tea" themed, so I created a tea bag holder/card. Here is what I made:
This is what the holder looks like when it is closed. It ties with the ribbon so the tea bag won't fall out. I created my own sentiment using my Lawn Fawn Jessie's ABCs.

This is what the holder looks like when you open it up. One side is the pocket and the other I stamped a tea pot border and left a little space to write a message.

Above is a closer view of what each side looks like.

The challenge is open until 11:59pm (EST) on January 6, 2013. For more information and to participate, because you can win a gift voucher to the Simon Says Stamp store, visit the Simon Says Stamp and Show blog and check it out!

Hope everyone had a safe and happy New Years!
